Here’s how you can help:

2020 is an experimental year of the Festival, but our ambition is to grow Winter Tribe into an annual festival which inspires all regional peoples to work throughout the year toward lasting social change.  For the first year, our goal is to simply gather riders and nature lovers who already visit, know and respect Shara Mountain. During this time, a group of experts and creative people will lead events in their respective areas of expertise. Our initial budget is already achieved, which will allow us to initiate our gathering with Activities listed below, but with your support we can push this to the next level by inviting more creative leaders in various disciplines, as well as increased equipment and infrastructure.

The goal of this campaign is to raise funds to (1) invite additional professional cinematographers who can document our activities and help us further promote our ideas for 2021, (2) create another music/workshop stage, (3) invite more expert artists, (4) support winter campers and (5) direct support for for the upcoming year.

Besides our main music stage, our goal is that musical guests, DJs and freeriders collaboratively work on an additional experimental music stage, for which we need additional equipment such as generators, lighting  and logistical support.  In order to achieve Winter Tribe’s goal of creating social and political change, we also want to be in a position to pay for the bravest among us such as activists, artists and DJs to join our gathering and share their stories and expertise.  For example, whoever passes the winter camping workshop and sleeps one night in a tent gets 3 days of hotel accommodation for free. Our Mission and Vision

Winter Tribe’s Mission is two-fold:  to bring about awareness that unity is the only means of establishing and sustaining regional peace as well as our natural environment. The overarching goal of the Winter Tribe Festival is to endorse social change and conservation through music, art, winter sports, unique skills-sharing, and perspective-changing dialogue.

The Winter Tribe Vision is to grow into a movement identifying and engaging community leaders, sports stars and partnering organizations to build a solid core of participants who intend to carry Winter Tribe energy forward in their daily lives in their communities toward a legacy of collaboration and respect between different regional nationalities and generations

​​Social:  All participants of the Festival require a free spirit, passion for exploration and a desire to collaborate.  The Winter Tribe Festival exists for those willing to take two steps forward to intensively seek a life driven by compassionate cooperation, and to make new, lasting bonds over a shared, rare experience of solidarity.  Our mission throughout all of the above-mentioned activities is also to present a model of inclusivity for women and those who identify as LGBTQ in a collaborative space.

Activities (offered at no charge to participants)

Ski Center Brezovica in Kosovo is legendary for its magnificent slopes attracting the bravest snowboarders, freeriders and skiers from all over the world.  During our initial gathering we will be organizing the following events / workshops:

⮚  Afternoon Electronic Music Parties – regional DJs will be spinning during the weekend of 29 February – 1 March (some of the DJs: Oda Haliti – KS, Toša – SR, Ali Güney – TR)

⮚  Group Freerides (synchronized with cinematographers)

⮚  Winter camping – presentations and outdoors exercises to educate winter campers

⮚  Experimental Snow Sculpting

⮚  Free ski lessons for kids ( ages 3 – 9, mixed nationalities)

⮚  Documentary Screenings – Narcis, a documentary film about a small ski town becoming a place of encounter in an area defined by war, + others

Other activities will be dependant on the weather and interested participants.  Some of these include freestyle exhibitions, snow soccer and volleyball.  Share your ideas with us!  If you are a performer, artist or yoga teacher, feel free to contact us to organize group activities.  Our most important skill is our shared creativity.  Contact us at admin@winter-tribe.com
