Who are we?

My name is Jimmy Mustafa and am in a Roma music band called “Jimmy Mustafa Band“ from Plementina. Plemetina is a small town in the municipality of Obiliq, Prishtina. A multi-ethnic place where Albanians, Serbs, Roma, Ashkali, and others live together. In 2009, six young Roma people joined their talents to make a different genre of traditional Roma and other style of music. We have two studio albums, first one called “Posvetime” (Dedicated) with 10 tracks and the second album “Romane Bajrakja” (Roma Flags) with 11 original songs. During 2018 and 2019 the band had tours in Switzerland and Germany.

I also produced music for nine documentary films about Roma such As: Jek Kham Jek Sel, Naci Palem Khere, Sar Thuv, Live, Auschvic in Poland, Roki, etc. I have been working with children as a teacher, teaching them to play instruments such as guitar, cajon, piano, and singing lessons. I am the founder of the center for children and youth, together with friends from Kosovo and Switzerland called Music 4 All.

What is our goal?

Our Center “Music 4 ALL“ will be a pioneering and most fulfilled initiative that will allow children and youth to expand their musical and artistic activities and discover new talents through. Music 4 ALL was and will continue to be a second home for every child, and youth. Part of this project will be everyone who loves the art of music and wants to learn or improve singing and pre-training for studies.

 
Music 4 ALL will offer individual and group courses of classical and modern music such as piano, clarinet, cajon, guitar, singing, sports, video recording, video editing, and other necessary activities for children and youth. There will also be an art/painting class where children will create art through music with our help.

We will also have workshops, where artists will be invited to share their experiences with everyone. We will record music (songs/albums) and also organize concerts/events, where everyone will be welcomed.

How will your support help?

With your support, we will give the children and youth in Plementina the possibility to show their talent in music and arts.

We will organize the following activities:

• Music Education
• Piano classes
• Clarinet classes
• Vocal/Singing classes
• Guitar classes
• Cajon classes 
• Computer classes
• Cinema (broadcasting films)
• Painting classes

There will be five courses offering guitar, clarinet, piano, cajon and vocalists’ workshops. These courses will be provided to enrich and extend the practical part, enabling the candidates to gain the basic notes and skills in instruments as well singing.

Budget
