Campaign Story
Who we are?
We are group of young teens aged 17 and 18, within of youth organization “Youth Vision Shala from village Shalë, Municipality of Lipjan, state of Kosovo”. Following the implementation of some projects, such as trainings, debates etc., we decided to organize a festival and documentary for young people because our region feels the lack of youth activities which are neglected by the municipality.
Details of the project
Considering the absence of the realization of youth projects in our town, we as teens of the village of Shalë decided to realize a project for our youth called “Si n’Shpi”, which aims to gather about 100 young people aged 15 to 20 years coming from the villages of Shale, Baice, Krojmire, Resinoce and Kleqke.
Festival
Since no festival has ever been conducted in our region, so we took the first initiative for the implementation of this project, a realization of the festival which is expected to last three days. This festival has a traditional theme, so some young people will be seated in traditional carpets used in earlier times. Traditional and decorative lights will be used for lighting as the festival is supposed to be in the evening.
The space where we plan to implement is in a flat place on the Gryka e Shale, there is a tower built several years ago, which is a public place. During three days, we will display a movie about youth migration. So direct beneficiaries will be our young people.
Of course there will be dinner too for the participants, during the festival there will be the baking corn (Maize) from some of the young people and the cooking of some traditional foods such as bread (flia), corn beet, house bread, pizza, etc., done from the girls of our group, which will be served for 100 young people.
The food will be served to the special seats and these types of seats will be built because more than 100 young people will participate.
This realization includes singing too, where young singers will be present, attractive games, interviews, traditional games, dancing and many other things.
DocumentaryÂ
Within this project it is predicted a documentary with the youth during these three days, including interviews, performing of the singers in the traditional food cooking time, attractive games etc. This documentary in the end will promote the tradition, national clothing, traditional crafts, handicrafts and will give a message for the realization of many projects that are focused on young people. All of this is expected to be implemented by the end of October.
What we ask from you?Â
For the realization of this great project in our region, we need financial support from you. If you don’t have financial opportunities you can contribute by sharing this project with your friends. Any amount of money that is given to us is very welcome and we will appreciate it.
