Who are we?

IPKO Foundation (IF) is a local operating foundation in Kosovo. For 25 years, IF has been dedicated to nurturing future leaders in Kosovo who will harness the power of technology to tackle local and national challenges head-on.
We’ve supported 10000s of girls through our programs including Girls in ICT, Women in Cyber, WikiAcademy, AI Kosovo, to gain knowledge, learn new skills and realize their dreams. Our vision extends beyond the horizon, where every girl can thrive in a supportive environment, reaching her full potential amidst a landscape of progress and opportunity.

What is our goal?

Our vision, with the EmpowerHer! scholarship program is to shatter barriers and unlock doors to opportunity for girls from rural and marginalized backgrounds. Through high-quality STEM courses and mentorship from successful women, we’re paving the way for over 100s of girls in Kosovo aged 11-18 to become the leaders and change-makers of tomorrow. This isn’t just about education; it’s about empowerment, equality, and the transformation of lives.

What Do We Need?

To turn our vision into reality, we need your support. There are over 115,000 girls in Kosovo between the ages of 11-18. Your contributions will fund scholarships for 150 deserving girls, providing them with access to education, resources, and opportunities previously out of reach.
These scholarships will cover tuition fees, educational materials, and technology resources for them to attend high quality STEM courses from our training partners in Kosovo. Budget
 15,000 – 150 scholarships (80-100 Euro per scholarship)
 1,000 – Advertising and promotion
 2,000 – Transportation
 10% for KOSOVAideas platform

Stretch Goal 1
 8,000 – Additional 100 scholarships
 4,000 – Extended support for next level courses for 50 highest performing girls
 2,000 – Girls in ICT Day – mentoring, university and job fair
 1,400 – 10% for KOSOVAideas platform

How Will the Support Help Us?

Your donation will allow us to contract high quality, local training providers to offer a range of inspiring technology courses which meet international standards to 150 girls from across Kosovo.  The course offerings, offered at a discount by our partners, will be accessible to girls in their communities and taught at an appropriate level for their age, experience and interest. Girls who excel and show promise will be supported to continue with advanced courses.
With your help, we’ll empower girls to pursue their passions, break through barriers, and emerge as leaders in their communities. Together, we’ll drive systemic change, challenging stereotypes, advocating for equality, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and empowerment.
