Who are we?

NGO Project 5 Cents, founded in 2013, is an organization that annually organizes the well-known mini marathon “Vrapo Babadimer.” The aim of this mini-marathon is to sell Santa Claus costumes, which will be worn by the participants of the mini-marathon, regardless of age and gender. The funds raised will be dedicated to families in need and children affected by serious illnesses.

Initially, the “Run Santa Run” mini marathon started with only 100 Santas, assisting around 60 families on that occasion. Over the years, this number has increased, reaching its 8th year of organization, where this mini marathon has become a tradition and an important event for the capital. This year, 3000 Santas will participate in the mini marathon.

With the increase in the number of participants, there is also an increased opportunity to help not only families in need but also children suffering from serious illnesses and being treated at the pediatric hospital of the University Clinical Center of Kosovo, specifically in the hemato-oncology department of this clinic.

What is our goal?

This year, NGO 5 Cents has decided to raise funds specifically for children in the hemato-oncology department of the Pediatric Hospital through a campaign on KOSOVAideas. The goal is to alleviate the difficulties these children are facing and make the night of the change of seasons as pleasant as possible.

What do we need?

Through continuous communication with the management of the Pediatric Hospital, the hemato-oncology department, we have identified the necessary equipment and tools to improve healthcare services for these children. Additionally, we aim to organize a night of Santa Claus with the occasion of the New Year’s celebration. The equipment and tools include 6 beds for mothers staying 24 hours with their children, toys, and tools that impact the psychological rehabilitation of children during treatment, as well as gifts for the New Year.

How will your support help us?

Your contribution will have a significant impact on the lives and treatment of children affected by serious illnesses, providing some relief in their treatment and bringing smiles to their faces during the change of seasons. By enabling the purchase of 6 beds, you will help mothers of children with serious illnesses have an easier time staying close to their loved ones, as their strength gives strength to their little ones.

During treatment, children face various fears, from the fear of needles for therapy to other difficulties in their healing journey. This condition requires special psychological care, and your help in donating funds to purchase toys and tools that impact their psychological well-being during treatment will help them cope more easily with their situation.

Finally, your assistance and support to enable gifts and a festive atmosphere with Santa Claus during the change of seasons will add smiles to the faces of those children who, that night, will be lying in the ward with the only wish: COMPLETE HEALING!
