Campaign Story
What is our purpose?
Sport, besides being a recreational activity, also serves to develop the skills and improve the health of each individual. Sport, first and foremost, helps create social relationships with young people and regulates their well-being.
Today, every day, we are hearing different stories about how public spaces are not being used by young people and/or most of these public spaces are used to develop their unauthorized activity, drug consumption, etc. These spaces are being transformed into dangerous and ugly environments even for the residents near them.
Together we can transform these spaces into youth-aware environments, spaces where sports, communication, youth interaction and healthy life full of physical activity. Through youth sports activities then change the approach.
As young people we belong to this society we always try to contribute and work to increase the opportunities for each of us, in this case, we want to create a basketball court in the neighborhood where every young person could develop his/her talent.
Where ?
This space where this initiative will be implemented is located in Bair, in the courtyard of “Musa Hoti” School in Mitrovica, the largest neighborhood of the city, with 8,976 inhabitants, out of which 2,335 young people 15 to 25 years old, but without any sport field!
What do we need?
Most interesting is that the space is almost ready, only the bins, basketball balls and the reflectors that all need to be turned into a basketball court, without which this space remains useless.
